I was reading something in the bioware forums, and i realized that the plot for revan is eeriely similar to an episode in b5...

http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/countries ... e/048.html

"Passing through Gethsemane"

it is one of my all time favorite episodes of ANY television series anywhere...for those of you who haven't seen it, i highly recommend you rent season 3 of babylon 5, episode 48...

in it, a really really nice brother in a religious order begins to have horrible flashbacks and nightmares, and he comes to realize that he was actually a mass murderer, and he was mindwiped, and feels horrible horrible guilt for his previous life, before he was mindwiped, and a new personality overlaid over his original one...

this brings up a lot of very interesting questions..nature over nurture, and whether or not a new personality should be punished over the crimes of a previous personality...sound familiar???

in the end, brother edward accepts and goes willingly to his death, at the hands of someone his previous personality wronged terribly...the brother of a woman he killed in a horrible fashion...and the last scene in the episode shows garibaldi, who was brother edward's friend, sees his murderer boarding a star ship, the murderer's personality wiped by the courts, and free of the hate and vengence that he showed to brother edward...

bastilla, revan, and malak...

its an interesting excersize in thinking, trying to imagine what went thru bastilla's mind when she saw revan on taris...how much control she exerted over herself...

and its hard to imagine what kind of mental sense of self disassociations the pc must have gone thru, when he/she finds out they're revan...

any thoughts???

Interesting parallel, but don't forget that it wouldn't have been too much of a surprise seeing Revan on Taris, aside from that he survived, because he was on the ship by Bastila Shan's personal request. But even so it is impressive the level of self-control she and others show throughout the game in not revealing your former identity, although you could half-guess by the time you fought Malak on the Leviathan.

I had no idea until of course the leviathon. It was definitely a shocker for me. All of a sudden when they did that flashback thing everything started making sense. It was kind of wierd.
