I just gave the power source to Fenron, as he seemed to have a just cause. Getting that source of course involved killing Aghaaz (or whatever).
Now, I was wondering... He says he wants to keep the golems there 'till the Maker comes back and all... How about if you go down to kill the Maker first, and THEN go talk to him? Will you be able to convince him to give up the power source and thus not kill anyone?

In the same line, I just had another idea... When you reverse the curse on the Avariel, and the former fool reverts back to his fool-dom, if you talk to him, it says something about a gleam of understanding and regret in his eyes... How about giving him a potion of wisdom or something? I haven't got a save for that moment anymore, otherwise it'd give it a try... Probably nothing tho...

Although that'd be a really nice gag, I'm sure the devs didn't bother to think that far. That line is just a little text candy to flesh out the atmosphere.
You know... that's really one of those parts where the blatant difference between a paper&pen roleplaying campaign (led by a human DM) and a PC game clearly shows. A human DM will always try his best to adapt, create, conceive and react in accordance to even the most unlikely of your actions - which is something that a PC game can never do. =/
Thus, I'm really happy that I have the opportunity to also do some "real" roleplaying apart from playing PC-RPGs. Yes, they are nice in their own way, but they can never replace the "real thing". Not to mention the tremendous joy of being a DM yourself...
