It'll be inthe guide, but its like 12 or something. At any rate, I'd discourage being super high leveled for SoA. It will ruin the game, you will be so over powered early on, it just wont be fun, its best to start with the usual starting exp.

If you have ToSC installed, the highest amount of XP you can have when importing your PC into BG2 SoA is 161,001. Without ToSc it is 89,001. From this, you can calculate your level. For a Fighter/Mage, I think this is around 9th/9th (IIRC).

Even if you have a level cap remover, the extra XP is removed from your PC when you import into BG2.

At 161,000 experience points, your Fighter/Mage will be 7th/7th Level. (For comparison, at 161,000 experience points, Imoen is a 7th Level Thief dualled to an 8th Level Mage.)

Be aware that the importing function is kind of buggy. If your character from BG1 has over 161,000 experience points, BG2 will attempt to reduce your character's experience, level, and hit points to that of a character who has 161,000 experience points, and you might end up with the wrong number of hit points due to the bug.

Yep, but you can fix this with SK, which I tend to do anyway. Especially as I don't like Jaheira's stats.
