Stashing Equipment

Are there any safe places to stash equipment in the game. As a technologist I like to save LOADS of stuff just in case it might be useful, but even with three followers I cannot keep it all. I am worried that if I leave my stuff in a bucket and skip town it will disappear. Is this true? And if so, are there any special containers that will not clear my stuff out? Thanks

If I remember correctly, only trash cans get emptied, and everything else is safe. When I stored stuff, I always used that warehouse in Tarant where the guy asks you to kill the rats.

I'll try it out. I also noticed that certain quest items (like notes or the stillwater giant pelt) don't get removed from trash cans.

Storage

Its better to store items in Black Root and Stillwater and Ashbury as those sites are close to where you enter the town.
