help killing the Cult in Ulgorths beard and Mac problems

hey guys, I need some help, pelase.
I actually finished the cult and then went to the werewolf island. But I spaced out on getting some monster summoning staffs and had deleted a previous game saved after killing the cult so now I have to kill it again, stack up on some stuff and THEN go to the island.
BUT this time I can not get that sun of a gun killed, my party dies every time even though I am not diong anything differently. My biggest problem are those ghasts that my party members turn into once they have been held by the Demonking. How can i protect myself from turning into those ghasts? Other than that i think my strategy is ok but that killls me every time. And if it doesn't my compter crashes when I try to save after I killed the Demonking ;-(. I am used to my computer crashing a lot playing BG but it crashed almost every time I try to kill that guy.
why did it work before and not anymore? I am so frustrated!!!!

Oh BTW I use the latest Imac so it should have enough power, don't know why it keeps crashing, anyone else having problems with Macs?
