hey guys, whats the difference between Core Rules and Normal Difficiulty?... if i switch it to Core Rules in configuration settings, will it mess up my save games?.. or will my save games still be in what i had it as before? (normal) ?

1) difficulty level has nothing to do with savegame; (in hints you're even welcomed to lower the difficulty if a battle is too hard)
2) you always learn the spell and always get the max. HP advancing levels in normal; there is dice for it in core. It's the only difference i know about. Harder levels add 50 or 100% to damage opponents do to your party.

Correct me if I am wrong,....but on the really hard level when your characters die don't they stay dead? I t seemd like I remember reading that somewhere. I fI AM wrong...well, just ignore this post. hehe
