Ogre Quest for Fire Temple?

Post by Wretched »

Greetings and Salutations!

I was just wondering about the ogre quest for the fire temple. What is sopposed to happen? I just initiate conversation and after the 2nd response a fight starts? My diplomacy is 12 and intimidation is also 12.
Do have to have higher points? Can't seem to convince them to join. Just ending up killing them all.

All you have to do is talk to them, maybe your choosing the wrong choices. They are pretty happy where they are and have no desire to join the temple, so it takes a little bit of work to get them to join. If you can’t figure out the dialog choices then maybe you’re right and your skills are too low. Maybe come back after leveling up.

Also, I think intimidation is the skill needed, but I’m not sure.

Thanks for the info.
I did however finish it by knocking all of them unconsious. Took me awhile to figure that one out since the only one attacking was the boss.

You are definitely able to complete this quest via conversation. I don't think the necessary skill is intimidate, however. I think it's either diplomacy or bluff. You say something about them having a nice place to live in the temple, and they say, oh, well if it's nicer there, then we'll go. They're gullible. Funny thing is, after you go back to report that they're coming, you complete the quest, and you can travel back out to the cave and slaughter them for exp and $$ with no downside. Sweet!
