Healing NPCs?

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a way to heal the guards etc. that are working with you in the game. In one section one of the guards kept saying to me "I could really use some healing" and I couldn't figure out what to do.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The spell "heal life" heals you and everyone nearby you that isn't an enemy. It also gets people to clap for you.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.
