Shroud of Kings??

Post by sworddancer »

Ok, folks. After chewing down my nails over this, I firgured that it couldn't hurt to ask for a bit of help.

Accouding to a stratagy guid, there is a magic item called the Shroud of Kings. It is supposed to be in chapter 3, probably in the mimic's nest or the subterranean vault. Now, this item would seem to kick some major deriere. The problem is that I need the demon hand grappler to get to the chest it is in. Getting the demon hand is a simple matter, but once I have it, I can't seem to back track to either the minic nest or the subterranean vault a few maps prior.

Does anybody have a solution for me??

thanx

I don't remember that item... In NWN, most of the items are generated randomly. Whilst a few items (mostly quest items) are set, the remainder are generated based on the PCs level and the location of the holder (chest, etc.).

Where exactly in the Mimic's lair is this item meant to be?

Cheers,

You can get the shroud of kings in the subterrainian Vault after you have completed the Cania thing. You will be transported back to the Temple of the sleeping man.

Ah! You mean the Cloak of Kings, found in the vault, under the Sleeping Man's crypt. Now I know what you are talking about! (Thanks Fiberfar for poking the old memory.)

Once you have the Demon Hand, return to where the Sleeping Man is, and enter the vault. Equip the Sleeping Man's Ring, and you'll see a chest you can not reach without the Demon Hand. Opening the chest will enable you to get the Cloak of Kings (-4 Cha, +2 all other stats, Immune to Cold).

Cheers,
