Can I make a character who is a half-lion, which is like a Werewolf/wolfwere type, except Lions are infinitely better than wolves, and I'll be more of a mutant or hybrid, rather than a lycanthrope. Actually, I'll be a half-liger for 3x to 4x the size difference.
A little on Liger, in case you might need some insight, is that they're hybrid cats, a cross between a Lion and a Tigress, and they tend toward giantism. They are, on average, twice the size of a Siberian Tiger, which is otherwise the world's largest cat. The liger is about 12 feet long on average, with a maximum around 14-15 feet, and weight about 800-1200 lbs, with records of 1500 lb Ligers, and an ideal maximum, thus far, of about 2000 lbs (The largest Sib Tiger was 1025 lbs, which is big enough to pummel a Polar bear into submission)
Lions, themselves are pretty well known, but people severely underestimate their abilities. For instance, Lions can climb trees. This may be safe to assume seeing as how they're strong and agile, but people have been known to climb trees in order to escape Lions. They are not the Jaguar or the Leopard (The BEST climbers), but they are excellent climbers. They are also excellent swimmers, though they hate the water (My reasoning is that they're similar enough to Tigers and Jaguars, who DO love the water, to have the same potential.) Another thing is that in some parts of Africa, Lions kill elephants on a regular basis. That's live, bull elephants. They take them down in groups, but still, no other animal can boast that except the Tiger, and, of course, other elephants. Lions also feed on Rhinoceros, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Buffalo, Zebra, and Gazelle, to name a few of their feats.
The Tiger is also pretty well-known. Some things that are common misconceptions are that they don't like the water, because cats generally don't. In reality, they love the water, and swim well. They have been known to go into the crocodile's turf to EAT said crocodile. Among the Tiger's great feats are the consumption of baby elephant, adulat and baby Rhinoceros, Crocodiles, gaur (Ox), Black Bears, Brown Bears, and pretty much all other animals that he happens upon. Unlike the Lion, the Tiger does not make a habit out of eating adult elephants, though it has happened many times before. Elephants do, however, fear the Tiger, and often run away when near one. There has also been a record of a duel (one-on-one fight. I doubt they were fighting over a lady!

) between a Tiger and an adult elephant. After several hours, the Elephant had sustained so much damage, it fell and died.
This is why I want my character to have the blood of the most powerful animals on the planet.
Here are some photos. Sorry for the long-winded documentary.

So, ehat say you. May I be a half-Liger? I'd be insanely beig and strong, but I will not disrupt the balance of the story.
