Help in the Underdark

In the caves west of the gnome village there are a bunch of kuo-toa and a drow party guarding a locked door. I can't find a key to the door. I've been through the illithid and beholder areas. Please give me the location of the key and some info about the statue of Demogorgon in the same area.

That door is IIRC the exit from the Underdark, and the Silver Dragon has the/a(?) key.

As for the statue, try summoning an animal and placeing it on the statue.

Are you sure that a key is necessary? I seem to recall that you can actually get out without a key, but that your Drow disguise immediately vanishes, after which you face an extremely large group of very angry Drow, above ground.

I can't help you there, I have always got the silver dragon to open the door for me, so - I don't know how to exit without completing her quest
