Stuck in Ust Natha!!!

Post by GaryH »

I need help please!

I am currently doing the quest on helping Solaufein and Phaere fight some sort of a beholder.
After speaking to them near the entrance, I went to the location where they both waited.
However, nothing happened, no fight started or whatever.
Apparently, I tried talking to both of them but nothing happened still.(BTW, when I tried to speak to Phaere, she had nothing to speak to me.)
I have also tried resting a few times and speak to them again, but nothing happened still.

Anybody knows what to do???

Hmm. when you arrive at the location they should talk to you and a few moments later the beholder warps in. Is it possible you were late? There are lots of time contraints in Ust Natha.

Best option reload and try again there are times when dialog should be initiated by another character and doesn't in some cases it screws up the game others not so much. So reload and try again....hopfully you won't have to go back to far.

You've hit a bug...talking to Phaere twice causes her to say nothing and Solaufein to say "My mind is occupied with thoughts of the future..." You may visit Baldurdash for the fix for it. It will prevent it from happening again and the ReadMe will tell you how to get out of the current jam. It's called the "Stuck In Ust Natha and Beholder Plot Fix" or something like that. I'd grab all the Ust Natha fixes if I were you, or the whole FixPack; there is plenty to go wrong there.

**bump**
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Hey Kevin, don't know if you know about this one but just in case...here goes

I got pretty far into the Jaheira romance(killed Dermin) I then decided to save and drop her to get Viconia and Aerie so I'd have three seperate saves with the same character each with a different romance. There seems to be a problem in Ust Natha when you have the opportunity to sleep with Phaere during the Viconia romance. I still had Jaheria in the group and when I turned Phaere down and came out the Jaheira romance dialog came up and then Viconia's, this has to be a bug in the script here since I dropped her from the group long before, the romance should be dead. This is the only instance I noted so far and it didn't happened during the Aerie romance.

Thought you might be interested.

Krimmy: I had a look an the embedded dialog scripting for this and it looks fine. I think for some reason that the game still thinks Jaheira and your protagonist are an "item." Try enabling Debug Mode and open a console and then:
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOBAL")
and press Enter. If it returns a 1 or 2, the game still thinks it's active. You can use:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOBAL",3)
to turn it off.
