Hello to everyone...
I have a problem with the qualities of celestial fury...I am a dungeon master and I am thinking about including it in my game but I couldn't find on the internet about it.I've found many answers in this forum and I believe that if anybody knows he/she must be one of you.
What are the special powers of this mighty sword acording to 3rd Edition?
2nd Edition version is also wellcome but I prefer 3E.
Sorry for bothering you with an irrevelant question but..but
I was so helpless
the fire in my eyes is dying
and the zeal i had is gone
You can find the 2nd edition abilities here at gamebanshee. Translating it to 3rd edition rules of course, is at your descretion since you are Dungeon Master. But I would like to put in my two cents. Celestial Furys' equipped abilities are Lightning Strike and Blindness, cast once per day. While the Blindness is available in third edition I don't believe Lightning Strike is. You could substitute Lightning Strike with Call lightning or Gedlee's Electric Loop, modifing it to only 1 bolt with each failed reflex save. The spells damage could be 1d6 electrical damage per one or two levels of the wielder. Its combat abilities include Booming Thunder (stun, save vs. spell), and Shocking Blow (5% chance of extra 20 electrical damage) You could substitute Booming thunder with Shout or perhaps just simply a stun effect (save vs. Fort).
I think the damage for Katanas in third edition are 1d8 now instead of 1d10. I would keep the +3 to hit and damage maybe perhaps even make it a +2 instead. Have you given much thought to adding a variant of the Flail of the Ages to your realm. This weapon alone could add much gameplay in the acquisition of its parts. How about putting my favorite into your campaign, Crom Faeyr.
Happy Holidays all,
J
Fifteen birds in five firtrees,
Their feathers were fanned in a fiery breeze!
But, funny little birds, they had no wings!
O what shall we do with the funny little things?

You're the DM... aka GOD (Game Organizational Developer) you can make up whatever you want for the celestial fury...
If you want to translate it from 2nd Edition then your still the person who interprets it...
3rd edition dmg for katanas is still 1d10 I believe...
Tact is for people not witty enough to be sarcastic
Thanks for help everyone but I have one more question.
Does anyone knows the story of that katana?
I remember that when someone wields it in the outdoors, weather changes and begins to rain so I want to learn the story of it.Why it starts raining? and how was it created?I really wonder about that as katanas are almost perfect swords and enchanting a katana need a kind of sacrifice...
By the way...flail of ages...this can be fun
