Well, I just lost a huge post. I had clicked on the link from my mail to confirm my registration, and was logged in. When I went to post, it asked me to log in again. Oh well, I can retype it, though I'll make it shorter.
I've played through KOTOR II two times and am nearly done with my third. I've noticed a lot of bugs and was wondering if anyone else has too.
The most recent of these was a lightsaber bug. I had gone to put my character's special crystal back into their lightsaber after Kreia had refocused it. I wound up encountering a glitch that duplicated my lightsaber as well as all the components inside of it. I now have 2 character crystals that can be placed into a single lightsaber, granting me huge stat bonuses. Not exactly a bad glitch, but a glitch nonetheless. Oh, and I couldn't equip the duplicate lightsaber in my other hand, but I was able to remove the crystals from it.
Another glitch I noticed was in the Ebon Hawk on Nar Shadaa during the Red Eclipse slaver fight. There is a lab station in the medical bay of the Ebon Hawk. After defeating the slavers and having the game reload, the Lab Station is gone. Why would they remove the Lab Station? It would make sense if you got the Disciple and his Lab Station skill regardless of having a male or female character, but you don't. So, male characters are at a disadvantage by not having a Lab Station to use on the Ebon Hawk. Again, not a huge glitch, but it doesn't make too much sense.
The only other one I can think of right now is probably the most annoying. Many blaster upgrade items do not grant you the upgrades they're supposed to. Mandalorian Chambers don't give you the critical hit bonuses you're supposed to get, and give you inaccurate energy bonuses. An Amplifying Chamber Mark III only gives you a bonus of 5 energy damage instead of 6. Most of the upgrade items have different stats in the box on the left side of the screen than they do in their info. Again, it doesn't affect gameplay all that much, but it can be annoying.
It seems like the development team was pushed too hard for the release date. If anything, they could have released the PC version first. PC users can get patches, and it would have given them more time to fine tune the Xbox version.
Sorry if any of these have been gone over on here before, but I didn't spend too much time browsing the forums before I posted this. I look forward to hearing your input.
