Marek Poison antidote quest Please Help!

Post by dontheox »

I just finished the poison quest in BG1 and my levels will not come back I have the DSoTSC installed, and the level limit cap remover, is there any known bugs for this quest and if so how do I fix them.

The quest I am speaking of is where they poison your food and you have to kll marek from the iron throne to get 10 doses of antidote from him no matter how may doses I take my Xp will not come back up for the mage half and my level in my fighter will not come back up

Thanks in advance!

fix?

hmm...mabey the experience cap remover has something to do with it? Have you tried patching it? DId you make sure to drink te antidote ENTIRELY?(10 times I think)This could potentially not be so bad, as worse case scenario, you'll have to use the CLUAConsole command to give yourself the experiance neccesary to restore your lost levels...

1. Open your Baldur.ini file which is in the BGdirectory. You'll have to use Wordpad or Word or whatever. Also, it would be wise to copy the file first. If something goes wrong you'll still have the original Baldur.ini
2. Look for the heading called [Program Options]
3. Insert a line called Cheat Mode=1
4. Save and start Baldur's Gate.
5. In the game, press CRTL+SPACE. A dialoguebox will appear where you can type words.
6. Type: CLUAConsole:CreateItem(" POTN47 ") or, for the xp: CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP(" **** ")
Type it exactly as above or it won't work.

Alternately you can download a game editor like Dalekeeper and use that program to get the item or the xp you need.
