Does anyone know if HP uses a proprietary HDD connector in their Pavillion notebooks?
A friend of mine just had their HDD blow up and needs a new one.
Thanks in advance.

All the HP notebooks I've worked on use standard 2.5" IDE hard disks and use a connection converter to the motherboard interface. It should be easy enough to remove the drive and check it as most modern notebooks have the hard disk in a fairly accessable spot.
