A little help needed... Merchant's League

Post by Anthem »

I may have a glitch in the game... As far as I can tell, I've killed all doppelgangers on all three levels of the Merchant's building in BG. The captain of the guard says "there are more to kill" and Sashenstar doesn't give me the option of claiming the reward.

I know one glitch on the "Kill the Zombies" quest north of BG is that it counts bodies, not kills. Is this one the same way? If one disapears when I hit it (strength of 18/00) does that kill the quest?

Thanks for the help.

Firstly, are you sure you are in the right building? The Merchant League, and not Seven Suns, right? Secondly, note the numbers of dopplegangers: Level 1 - Irlentree and 4 others, Level 2 - Zorl Miyar and Level 3 - 10 of then.

It doesn't matter how you kill them, or what happens to them when you kill them (i.e./ chunk them). The game just records that you actually killed them.

Cheers,
TGHO

I had the same problem so I reloaded and went thru every corner real carefully
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.

This is a problem I've also had. The doppelgangers get "caught" in the scenery sometimes, especially on the ground floor with all the pillars. They still exist but are impossible to find. Reloading a save is one option, I found area effect spells also work well: cast a Fireball or Cloudkill where you last saw them or near pillars and the like whey they may have got stuck. Of course if you're not careful you might fry civilians but there are always casualties in war. ;)
