Now THIS bothers me

Post by Torotorotorotix »

For a couple of months: people with Infinity Explorer keep telling me that Irenicus has a Chaotic Good alignment. Good?! Okay, I feel a bit sorry for the guy cause he's been cursed and all, but didn't someone tell him it is not nice to torture people or stealing their souls...?

Torosomthing, who cares what alignment Iranicus has, just kick his but!

...

Well, stealing soules and stuf does sound a bit evil.

Actually, it's quite annoying that his alignment is good - it means you can't use useful spells and equipment that can only be used against Evil NPCs, like that nifty sword (Sunburst, or Dawnbringer, or something along that line).

I've heard that he starts out CG when you first see him, but later on is NE.

Not that it really makes a difference except for Holy Smite...his actions speak louder than his official alignment.

I DO care what alignment he has. Daystar and other goodies don't work as well on good characters as on evil ones. Besides, I do buttkicking for goodness, just like Minsc and Boo...
Anyway, beating Bodhi feels better than beating her brother (and the whole family kicked MY butt at first, so it is payback anyway. Okay, I'm rambling).

As far as i remeber,Ellesime told that it was Bodhi's idea to use the Tree of life in order she and Joneleth to become "gods" (enter the Seldarine). So it seems that she is to blame (or at least that is what Ellesime believes).
They were left without their elven souls and cursed to live their few remaining years exiled like humans (now that IS a curse). But Bodhi refused the human way of life and become a vampire.Joneleth become a madman trying to find a way to regain his soul back.
By the way, since he has no soul (in the beginning) is he not some kind of undead or lich perhaps ? Or this doesn't happen on elves ?

elves can becomes Liches too...called Baelnorns...but they are much rarer as elves doesnt normally have cause to seek immortaillity as humans because of their long life..its more like a curse that can be inflicted on them....remember larrel..the elven archmage trapped in the hand of the seldarine in IWD..he was a baelnorn
