Help! Locked map!

I'm about to enter the slavers' place from the sewers in the Slum - and I discover that my map is locked to the bottom of the map!

I can't move 'upwards' at all, just sideways (a bit). I tried using the M for map thing, and although I click on a section further up, my screen still scrolls down to my current location.

This has affected both my autosave and my quicksave - which are three hours apart (in BG time)!

Any tips on how to 'unlock' the map?

I've had this problem, quite mundane for me since it was a stuck key on my keyboard or an error with my optical mouse.

If that doesn't quite help then try changing the "Keyboard Scroll Rate" or "Mouse Scroll Rate" in your options menu.
