Cult of the Unseeing Eye question

I've killed the unseeing eye and got the Amulet that he dropped but I try to to exit from the rift, I get to the upper reaches and the door that you can't pick won't let me out. I've tried looking all over for some key without any luck. Please tell me I don't have to start the game over again!

It didn't do so for me either last saturday. I stood there, looking a bit dumb-founded at the wall/door.

It solved itself when I moved my party (all of them, also the slackers in the back) close to the wall. Suddenly it opened up.

OK. I've scrolled the other topics and didn't find anything regarding this questions. I tried to go back and move my whole party close to the wall to see if the door would open up and nothing happened. Any thoughts?
