How do you activate the scope on guns?

Post by 67Sherri »

I haven't been able to activate the scope on guns that have scopes.

I can only seem to point and shoot: single click single shot/hold it for long bursts.
I'd like to shoot at the hunters at the bottom of the Leopold tunnles, but would feel better about using the scopes on these great weapons.

I believe that if you press the TAB button, it is possible to use the scope if said gun has one...don't know though, haven't played through as a ranged PC yet

The Jamie Sue rifle (Remington) and the Steyr AUG are the scoped weapons of the game. Pressing TAB will access the telescopic sight.

In the Killmatic, SPAS shotgun, and the 44. Magnum— pressing TAB adjusts between single shot and cyclic.

It all depends...

...on your ranged weapon skills. The closer to 10 (5 firearms + 5 perception) the steadier your aim gets, until at 10 you are basically sniper level. (Although someone on this forum once pointed out this doesn't make sense, really, as most unsteadiness in target shooting is caused by breathing and basically Vampires don't really breath as such, but it would be rather one-sided to have vamps get target shooting as an automatic skill.)
You can ramp up the skill if your player has enough auspex. A toreador with high auspex and celerity is basically murder in a gun battle.
