Italian Dinner Quest *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

Post by Devilvidel »

Hey All

I am currently attempting to finish the game using all clans (have so far completed the game as a Brujah, Toreador, Gangrel and Tremere) and I am playing as a Nosferatu at the moment.

I have a query about the Italian Dinner quest namely, how do you get into the building as a Nosferatu? I cannot get the invitations nor can I persuade the guard at the door to let me in...is there some back way into the building that I have overlooked?

Thank you.

Isn't there a way into the Giovanni Mansion via the sewers ?

Have ya' tried the back door? As I recall, there are guards posted arund the perimeter of the mansion, and I think one of them guards a door. There are tins scattered all about the yard, presumably used to distract and decoy guards away.

Don't feel bad. Yesterday I was in the Giovanni Mansion (I got in thanks to having read the guide before trying) and I was in a sub-basement. Killed everything there was to kill, went in some rooms that didn't lead anywhere. Couldn't figure out how to get out. Ran around the small level for a long time. Restarted from an earlier save thinking I'd screwed up. Got to the same place and went closer to a big door and lo and behold, it opened.

I felt so stupid. All that because I hadn't gone close enough to the door.

Bleedin' Obvious

Sometimes the doors are so in the dark that you do not notice them - happened to me - got stuck, read the manual and realised that there was a door in a shadow D'oh!

I have never yet managed the Giovanni blackmail - even when I have got information out of people, the response available is that I haven't found anything of use yet. annoying that.

secret doors never show up - I find them by accident or by knowing in advance.

had a weird experience in Giovanni's - I used the secret door, then spoke with Nadia who offered me some cheap thrills (bi-curious slut!) - when we started to leg it down the tunnels together for an illicit tryst, some G-man started shooting at me! Perhaps he felt his masculinity threatened by my character's sexuality, but I had not assaulted anybody at any point and usually that guarantees an unopposed wander down to the embalming room.

Nadia's "they don't usually do that!" hardly covers a legion of zombies attacking you wheb she drags you down to the catacombs. I haven't worked out whether they constantly re-spawn, but I have noticed that you appear to get at least 2 from each spawn point. Nadia can be quite an asset if you run around after her. Just a shame she doesn't carry a flame thrower...
