I miss some NPC's from BG1
I realy miss Dynaheir & Kivan, Dynaheir is named in Bg2 (just as many others) but isn't an NPC, but I think Kivan is one of the few NPC;s from Bg1 that isn't in BG2, and that's a shame, i rely lovedhim. Would be great to see him in BG2 (as an archer offcourse)
Just as dynaheir the best mage ever.

I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.
I think that Mazzy is a great with a bow, if your looking for someone to shoot arrows.. but I agree with you, some of the BG1 NPC are really cool. I have just started playing BG1 and already I think that the NPC is BG2 are kinda limited. Safana should have been a NPC in BG2... if you ask me, I think its okay that we finally got rid of the couples.

Kivan was a very cool NPC and in a way I feel that it is strange that he was not ported over to BG II; remember that his main adventuring motivation was to avenge himself upon Tazok for torturing his fiancee to death and they brought Tazok back for BG II didn't they! Another meeting between those two would have been cool! Another NPC that I miss is Kagain; he was a dwarf fighter but he talked like a Sicilian gangster. Ajantis makes a brief appearance as one of the knights that you kill in the Windspear Hills (Anoman recognises his body if he is in your party, I don't know if you can identify him otherwise), but for him to have returned would have perhaps been better than Keldorn's inclusion, though Keldorn is a good character in his own right. Eldoth and Skie had possibilities and so did Shar-Teel...
It makes you want to play the first game again!

"Security isn't a dirty word Blackadder; crevice is a dirty word, but security isn't."
I miss Kivan too, but Xan even more...
I'm glad they "replaced" Ajantis with Keldorn. Ajantis always seemed kinda stupid and full of himself. Very unlike Keldorn.
Kagain, Korgan... thirteen a dozen. Maybe they're related?
I was rather surprised that the game didn't even feature an NPC Barbarian, Monk or Sorcerer... Or a triple class Half-Elf (in either of the games).

I miss Montaran and Imoen the theif and Coran the theif and all the good theives from BG1...The didn't give us one decent thief except Yoshi in BG2, and then he turns traitor on you! Dangit! I also miss Yeslick because he would have been a good substitute for Anomen who annoys me to no end but I always take. Anomen is such a jerk, but it seems like in my party he always ends up higher level that anyone-it's like his arrogance is justified by the end of the game
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
At least Dynaheir's and Montaron's existence is acknowledged. Some of the other NPCs were apparently nothing more than bad memories or figments of your imagination...

I for one agree with Xyx.
Regardless of all those supposedly rare swords, the moon blade was one that simply rocked in BG. Xan was a truely lucky little guy. Here we had a chronically depressed guy weilding one of the rarest swords ever found. It's a shame that he didn't make it to BG2, but then again Bioware can't exactly cater to every ones demand.

Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

This was never really a problem if you ask me. Simply kill the one you don't want in the party and the other one will stay. Jaheira would of course be sorry for the loss of Khalid. Montaron on the other hands seemed very satisfied when "the mad wizard falls".Originally posted by Bishop:
<STRONG>Yeah, I too was pretty relieved to get rid of the "couples" in BG2. It was kinda annoying that some of the NPCs in BG1 had a parter that you had to have in the group in order to have the other.

Eldoth was one of my favourites. Poor Skie had *lots* of accidents during her rescue...

I really miss Kagain (regeneration was realy good), but they replaced him with Korgan....they're the same copies!!!
Shar Teel: IMO their biggest mistake....because she could have been dualled to thief in order to have a good thief in the game.
Kivan could have been a good archer.
Xan may had been involved in a quest to regain his moonblade.....
