Baelnorn

Post by Fat Puck »

It could seem a silly question, and I know it is, but anyone has ever met a baelnorn (physically very like a lich)?

And anyone can explain me why they are not hostile? I found them... see the part in black below.

I found them in the Halueth's tombs when I am playing with a very high level character in the OC.

well my guess would be that baelnorns are elven liches, and hence good natured according to the monster manual.

Yes, ok. According to the manual they are good natured. But why, in the improving of the difficulty of the monsters you are facing, it happens that there are "good" monsters?

Baelnorns are not just good natured, they are actualy of good allighnment (usualy CG but some are even LG). They are protectors and guardians of sacred tombs, elven families or even entire cities (like Myth Drannor).

Try to rob that tomb and see how dificult that combat will be.

PS. Probably a stupid question: What does OC stand for?

In the world of NWN it usually stands for Original Campaign - meaning the campaign in the first game.

I DID rob their tomb and, unfortunately and in my ignorance, I attacked them (they were maybe 12) because I wanted some exp. I consider mine a mistake because I was playing a lawful good character...
