Lightsaber Color Question, maybe Spoiler

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the color of the lightsabers.
For example, I am playing PC version, Light side Jedi Guardian, I would obviously like to have a blue lightsaber. I have not been able to find a blue crystal anywhere!!! its kind of frustrating! not even in the Crystal cave in Dantooine! which I just finished. In any case I wanted to know if:

- When Atton asks me (almost at the begining of the game) about my lightsaber color, (I answered blue) depending on my answer, will that mean I will not find the lightsaber crystal color that I answered Atton for? Will that mean when I meet Atris for the first time and she pulls my lightsaber out the color of the lightsaber will be according to the answer I told Atton?

I only have been able to find green (lots of them), yellow, silver, violet, red. Not one blue! Any answers to my questions and suggestions would be welcome.

Okay, this is what I've found to be true...

The items on vendors are totally random. Save your game before seeing the items the first time. Look at the items and if you don't see what you like, reload. If they have a red crystal, it is random and you can reload till you get a blue.

On Telos (the smuggler merchant) I spent about 15-20 minutes until I got my green crystal (I saw red, yellow, blue, violet, orange, silver, cyan before I got my green). You can do this with the Duros merchant on Nar Shaddaa (the Rodian doesn't change, always yellow it seems) and also with the Rodian (the one from KotOR1) on Dantooine as well. Those are the ones that I've gotten to thus far.

Also, before going into the crystal cave for the first time, save it. If you go through it once without getting what you want, reload and see if it gives you new ones. Items not on merchants are generated the first time you go into the area so you can't just reload once you get to the item (usually anyway, not always the case).

I answered Veridian to Atton and when I saw Atris for the first time (and you do the right dialog) she pulls out a matching saber and you talk about it). Through the game, anytime they show you with your old saber or Atris using one, it matchs what you told Atton (or it is random if you didn't tell him).

I do not think it hinders you aquiring the color if you told him one. I don't think so, I'll let you know if I find a Veridian.

For now on, save and reload at each merchant. I do this a lot for crystals and robes. I will sometimes save one that looks good on a new save slot and then keep trying to see if it gets better.

I did this once to get the crystal I wanted and like four good robes instead of the one Padawan robe I had on my first pull. Its worth it sometimes and you can usually tell after four or five reloads whether they will have something you want or not.

Thanks, I´ll let you know if it works for me, too bad I told on the smugler merchant on Telos, can´t buy from him now, morality can be a b..ch some times. I feel like the game has a plot against me getting a blue crystal....

When you do find a viridian crystal, does it show up as a kind of pale green in your inventory? I have one (pale green, dunno if it's viridian or not) in a saber I found but haven't had a chance to test it out yet - either that or there's a new green

Yep, I just found a viridian crystal, it is pale green, Ididn't like it at all, it looks like a green lightsaber with the flu....

purple is the color of jedi guardian masters eg Master Windu(samuel jackson)

slight correction

actually the violet lightsaber is a finish reserved for the senior members of the jedi council.

Hate to break it too you but the only reason there are purple blades is that Mr S.L Jackson said that he wanted a different colour to everyone else.
Mind you I like to use it

Well... that is why Mace Windu has one, but Violet/Purple sabers have been in the Star Wars universe for quite awhile in comics and novels and games.

Thanks everybody, I got my blue crystal at last, I got it from the old salvager lady, I'm kind of traditional when it comes to my lightsaber color, being a huge fan of Obi Wan Kenobi and all that.
But I still feel (maybe I am starting to be force sensitive) that what ever the choice the main character makes when he/she answers Attons question about the lightsaber, affects the color of crystals and lightsabers that are randomly found along the game. I saw on similar posts that in the forum that other people were only getting violet lightsabers or crystals, in my case it was violet and yellow, I don’t know it may be a pattern, or a random pattern affected by the choices made in the game. I won't know until I play the game 3 or 4 more times.

You all know that you can use a glitch to duplicate lightsabers. and any of thier components...........if you need help email me at Outlaw0037@bellsouth.net I have 4 silver crystals. Um if anyone knows how to get the cyan crystal please tell me i try all that random stuff but everytime i reload to get a different result i never get it. The cyan is the crystal luke skywalker has when Obi Wan gives it to him in the 4 episode.....so if you can help please email me personally.
