Bloodhunt help?

Post by STEVEYBOY »

Hi, I am after help/hints on how to get to the cab alive during the Bloodhunt put on my head. Basically I am getting my arse kicked by all the other vamps.
How do I survive to make it to the Taxi and onto the next stage?
I am playing a Female Malkavian if that makes any odds!

Thanks in advance.

Well, that all depends on you. I had a high sneak skill and snuck up to each one and Stealthy killed them without a sound.

What have you been putting your points into? If you have to fight, do it in small groups. If you just run down the middle of the street things can always get difficult. I have found all options in the game to be viable if you point enought points into them. So check your stats and try that route. (I.E. if you have more points in ranged, don't go hand to hand, etc.)

Hope this helps.

running the gauntlet

as Smeagol-Gollum would say "sneak, sneak, sneak"

you can fight them, but sneaking is easier.

look for the patterns of shadow along the route and spot your enemies before they spot you. auspex might be handy. thaum is handier still, but not as handy as obfuscate.

a katana makes for good graphics during this quest.

there are 2 round the first corner right - you can sneak past them or sneak round behind the one on the right then take out the one on the left - there is then one outside trips - I suggest sneak-killing that one or fighting him from behind - out of view of the first 2. you can sneak across the street and wander down until bloodbank alley. cross over. nobody notices you and you go along to Gimble's Close. there are two straight ahead. sneak or fight those two - your choice. past them and into the car-park. auspex or peer intently at your screen, keeping an eye on the sneakometer to check if somebody is near.
first one is hidden in a shadow to the rightish and ahead. get behind and sneak off his head. carry on right - another well hidden in shadow on the right - again one on one or sneak kill.
lastly near the exit - don't ignore this one even though you can sneak past - leave only final-dead enemies behind you or you may find that you have a melee with too many joining the party.
exit to the right and sneak around the corner - see the taxi? keep sneaking and then ask the taxi to drive.

even if your sneaking isn't my usual level 4/5, sneaking will get you some way through that lot and leave you with groups of enemies you can deal with.

remember - if you are using clothing that reduces dexterity, swap it to level 2 clothing whilst you sneak as that has no dex-effect. the fae charm in chinatown also counteracts a point of dex penalty.

easiest 9 points in the game!

Sneak sneak sneak... and... FLAMETHROWER!!! (Sneak down to trip's pawnshop if you need to purchase canisters) I had a high melee skill with my female malky so I used the katana as well.
