I hav applied mods for SoA. Does Mod installations hinder my Multiplayer mode ?? for incompatibility or smethin ?? :eek:
and shud i hav same net speed or stuff as other players :confused:

well, installation order really affects the stability of the game itself, not just in multiplayer mode, so instlaling in the wrong order could mean dialogs won't appear properly, for example.

As for net speed, it's probably fair to say that the same speed means no one would have an advantage. If one player was much slower, they probably wouldn't have much fun slowly dragging behind and missing some of the faster fights.

Multiplayer works with mods, providing all players have the same mods installed in the same order.

I mean . if the host does not have any mods installed.And i wanna join ( with me having many mods) will the game not allow me to joing ?? coz i am having problems in joinging multiplayer games on gamespy. :(

for as far as i know
you cant join in multiplayer then
if both of you do not have the same mods installed
because your game is very different from the game that the
other player is playing.

:eek: yikkesss why didnt someone say mods wer such a big killer, r any types of mods such killers few i installed which i can remmber are : some NPC's, some merchants.. will these simple mods too cause this fiasco ????

I think you may be reading something in Sephiroth's post that isn't there. No one has said "mods are killers," or will "cause fiascos." Most mods are intended and tested for singleplayer use. If you're going to use multiplayer mode, then you're stepping beyond the intent of the mods. And in any case, Sephiroth did suggest that you shouldn't have problems if you and the person you're playing with both use the same mods.
