need help with slashterpiece quest****SPOILERS***

Ok, So I am in the Gallery Noir, I have tried slashing the paintings in every sequence possible , but I cannot get the Blood Guardian to appear. The paintings have the red circles around them but after I am done with all four they disappear and no guardian. Please help, its really frustrating!!!!

The correct sequence is "Caine kills Abel", "Caine cursed by God", "Caine meets Lilith", "Caine spurns Lilith" i'm pretty sure. When you've done it right the guardian appears. If you have done it properly and it still doesn't appear
maybe it's a bug? Have you got the 1.2 patch? Don't know if it fixes this but it's worth a try. Otherwise my only advice would be load an earlier save or start again.

Yeah it's in an "X" pattern - front right (facing the front door) back left front left back right
