Question about Magical Arrows

Post by TheAmazingOopah »

Hey, I was wondering where in the game you can purchase magical arrows? (+1, +2, fire, cold, biting etc.) At the moment, I've just reached Kuldahar and I'm about to head to the Vale of Shadows. I don't really need magical arrows for that dungeon, but they will definitely come usefull by the time I've reached Dragon's Eye. Because I know that when I played the game a few years back, I got stuck there because you got these freakishly strong monsters who are very hard to kill fast with normal arrows, and you had monsters who can only be hit by magic. I'm used to fighting with magical arrows because of Baldur's Gate, where you can purchase them quite easily, but the smithee in Kuldahar doesn't sell them. So can anyone tell me where to buy these early in the game?

Getting Magic Arrows

Unfortunately these aren't for sale. You can scrap up a few before Dragons Eye, but not many.

In the final levels of Dragons Eye, you can collect a bundle. This is how you do it.

March in a cleric first under the sanctuary spell. Then send the rest of your party in behind with ranged weapons and spells.

Slaughter the Yuan-ti Archers while they stand there and take it, then round up there +1 arrows 10 per archer.

You can't engage them, or they'll fire the arrows and lose them, you can't use a confusion spell, because they'll attack each other and loose them, you have to kill them outright, and farm the arrows. So far this is the only way I know of how to do it.

Hope that Helps.

The elven shopkeeper in the Severed Hand, his name is Lehland, sells magical arrows and other missiles. This is a good place to stock up. Unfortunately, you can't get to him until later in the game.
