I've reached the sensor on my way to the Sith tomb on Dxun, and the Mandalorian has said I've made the charge to destroy it okay. But when I get there there's no option to use the explosives, only to repair or leave it.
Is this a bug, or it is a question of my character's demolitions ratings?

You still need a high demolitions skill to plant the device (on the character who approaches the sensor).
It was one of the more unusual quests despite its simplicity. The only member of your team with both demolitions and stealth as default class skills is Atton, whom I hate and never 'take out' past Cititdel station. If you have him he's perfect for the 'mission' (pun) but setting off the sensor is no big deal.
