SPOILERS

Use your best shields, and it should make the series of fights much easier. Unless you have very high wisdom, I'd stick to melee attacks as well.

You, basically, just need to convince him he should go ahead and die. You have a couple opportunities to lower his stats and saves, (from the walkthrough) "In the first conversation, you can lie/persuade by saying you do not have to do battle. In the second conversation, persuade him that Kreia is just using him to again reduce his stats." Eventually, he'll begin to buy your logic and you can talk with him about how bad the force has been for him. He'll eventually give up the desire to stay alive. I do not believe you have to have a high persuade to complete these objectives.

I had a persuade of 11, and I failed on every chance to persuade him.

Yeah, I think I had a 20 persuade and failed on the first conversation option to persuade, but succeeded on the second. Regardless, I don't think its necessary, it just makes the fight easier.

Ha-ha! I got him after all! Here's what I did: I used a rather unorthodox tactic: I was able to hide behind a pillar, Sion stood still in one spot and so I was able to pound him will all sorts of grenades without having to come within 20 meters from him! :D Sucka!

Now it would appear as if things have gone from bad to worse though, as I'm now facing Kreia... Yay...
