Ok I'm before 3rd planet (did so far Telos, Dxun/Onderon & Dantoine) and I really want to turn my cutie soldier Handmaiden into the kickass Jedi Gardian I think she'll be I've already learnt from Kreia about her mother, My influence over HM is major ! I mean she's maxed LS The only problem is I'm a consular type of char and when I fight her is those ritual whatever BS echani sparring fights ( sorry they made me mad ! ) she beat the living heck out of me
So my question is : Do I need to beat her to have the option of teaching her into the ways of the force -and if Yes is there a workaround for HtH combat weakos like my char ?-, or do I miss something else ... Plzzz Heellppp this is driving me nuts !!!
Yeah you do need a high influence on her.I am now currently playing as a dark consular,I have her and visas on Dark side mastery.You need to beat all the fighting technequics(sp?)and she will confess that she has always wanted to learn the ways of the jedi.So yeah,have a very high influence on her and just beat all the sparing matches with her,Then you will be able to have her as a good jedi,But she says that she needs some more time to think over it and that she needs to watch you fight some more.Also I haven't even completed any planets except for Telos and I am a level 4 Sith Lord!I haven't even killed a single Jedi master.But off topic there,You need all thats above.

If you're having trouble beating the handmaiden at melee combat, keep in mind the rules of her duel only apply to YOU. On the Ebon Hawk you have control of everyone's inventory so its entirely possible, should you wish, to equip her (as soon as she turns hostile and the duel begins) with a pair of mining blasters you saved from Paragus or some other equally pithy weapon.
She will stand there firing and doing little to no damage and you can happily beat on her with your negative strength and dexterity modifier till she is defeated, and offers her praise at your melee prowess...
While holding firearms she isn't hitting you with improved power attack, suffers a penalty to hit you with blaster fire and you get a huge bonus to hit her with your fists.
Crunchy your workaround did wonders ! It's a bit of cheating - I'm so ashamed ... Not ! - but I wanted so badly my cutie pie Handmaiden to be one of my jedi sidekicks
I've beaten the Handmaiden in many fights and impressed her with good deeds, but still nothing. I'm getting close to the end of the game. I've held back on her level advancement so that I can have a powerful Guardian as an aid (I'm playing a Jedi Master.
Any suggestions?
If you've beaten her 3 times, all thats left to do is ask her to put on some clothes (she wears the robes of her Jedi mother) and comment on them.
The three wins will be enough influence to get her to talk about it and you can press her to follow in her mother's ways. If you've already seen the robes just follow the same dialogue path and press her on becoming a Jedi.
If you're dark aligned she sees in you the haunted look of her father upon his return and you can make her a dark guardian. If you're light aligned she sees in you the calm of her father upon his return and she becomes a guardian.
To make Hainmaiden a Jedi Guardian (Light Side) or Dark Jedi Guardian (Dark Side), talk to her on the Ebon Hawk. Ask her to teach you some moves. After you fight her three times (and WIN all three times), ask her to put some clothes on. She will put on Haindmaidens robes. Ask her about the robes. Then ask Kreia about Handmaidens mother. Then talk to Handmaiden again. If you influence is high enough, and you have told Haindmaiden what the Force feels like, you will be able to teach her the ways of the Force.
