KotOR movie...?
i think that they should defianatly do a movie on the life of Revan, Malak, (of course playing it light side, since hollywood cant let the bad guys win then do kotor 2 making the exile the main character but maybe put a little bit more background on nihilus and sion.
Revan was power. It was like staring into the heart of the Force. Even then, you could see the Jedi he would slay etched on his soul.

Most of the rpg's would suck as movies though,I mean all the different charecters you can choose from and male female ds or ls e.t.c,and different things like that. But I think that unreal tournament could be a sucessfull movie beacuse it isn't an RPG,Or a MORPG like evercrack (ever quest). But yeah there are also war games that are movies also.
i doubt they would do that since george lucas has said that he will never do another star wars movie again after the last one and i cant see anyone else doing a sw film
Well this is the issue, GL would probably not allow a Star Wars film to be made without his involvement. Likewise, he has been pretty clear that Episode 3 will be the last film. It's not impossible he'll change his mind; still, it doesn't seem likely in the immediate future. Considering the abysmal junk the last couple Star Wars movies have been, it may not be such a bad thing. Though, it is a rich universe that could be done a bit better if he did open the floor up a bit to other personalities.
Still, I'm not sure any video game really translates well into film. While KoTOR had an engaging story, to fully appreciate its scope would take a lot more screen time than a 2 hour film would allow.

Exactly, something like the early Kyle Katarn stories (with a few of the really cheesy bits left out) would translate better into a film than a huge story led RPG ever could, because you can cut out a lot of the bits in between the story.
But I don't think any more will be made, and I can't see them being an more successful than those already made, including the prequels, even if there stories are a bit better (I mean personally I don't think they're as bad as everyone likes to make out, they're not as good as the original trilogy but what did you expect?!)

In my opinion most RPGs have better storylines then alot of movies because they take a good 20-30 minimum hours to complete...even tho half of that is opening loot and slaughtering lvl 5s *shakes fist at easy oponents who don't drop uber loot* if kotor or any other great rpgs were made into a film i would enver watch it because it would ruin the storylines of the game...i enjoy the roleplaying aspect of rpgs and like the feel of playing through a "movie" with a real character that i can customize to my personality

I think even the greatest RPG story lines would make pretty average movies. The only reason that many RPGs' story lines are appealing is because you are controlling the character development and the events. Take away these two things and the majority of RPGs fall to their knees. Just because they are longer doesnt mean the story is better!!! (not sure where you go that idea).
Obviously there are a few exceptions. A few of the FF series had terrific stories, and of course games like Deus Ex keep you enthralled by the story.(Silent hill had a nice story line too). But i truely believe movies based on the story lines of these games would be unable to recapture the magic of the story line that is apparant while playing them. In fact they would probably barely scratch the surface. Without the character interaction/development and the freedom to explore, the stories of even these great games would appear fairly average. Although obviously a great movie could still be made, the story line would not be sufficient to make the movie great. If i think of some of my favourite all time movies and compare the story lines to my favourite RPGs there is absolutley no comparison. If you could take those story lines and some how incorpirate them in games without losing the magic they would be the greatests RPGs of all time, but i really dont think it is possible to transend the genre in that way.

Probably just be another animated series to explain the gaps between the films, like the Clone Wars thing.
I heard a rumor that Mark Hamill had agreed to do another film/trilogy (not read the books but heard that the trilogy after RotJ is set a long time after the Battle of Endor, the age still roughly works) but I don't think it will work at all. You'll get Star Wars fans going, but it loses all of the classical appeal that made the "first" six good for casual fans.
The story is, in my opinion, complete. The constant in all the films is Anakin Skywalker - he is the only central character in every film. It is the story of him, how he fell and took the Jedi with him, and how he is saved. Luke Skywalker was only important in so far as his role in bringing Anakin back from the dark-side of the force, and completing this story (this is how it has turned out obviously, its different if you look solely at the original trilogy 4-5-6). Any continuation is distinct from this part of the story.
