Unseeing Eye exit to the Lower Reaches

The map here shows and exit from the Cult of the Unseeing Eye to the Lower Reaches. In my game There's just a hole there that I can't go down.

Any tips?

Highlight for spoiler.

You'll get a password to go down there from Sassar after you get the first half of the Rift Device. Once you tell the member who guard the pit that leads to the lower reaches, that's when you can go down there.

You really ought to tell the pit guard the password before delivering the half piece of the rod to Gaal

I got the first piece of the Rift device after I had already killed everyone in area of the Unseeing Eye so I have no one to give a password to. Any other tips?

Well, that' really not the way you should go with that quest, so reload to before you killed the cult.

Yeh, you'll have to reaload, or else that quest is doomed. However if you're skilled with shadow keeper, you can use it to "tell" that you've already compltede the quest.
