Post your most powerful weapon combo

Post by justabeginner »

Seeing how there is a lot of discussion about which weapon configuration (two handed, dual wield, single hand) or type (ranged, melee, lightsaber) is more powerful, lets go through the numbers because worded debates can go on forever.

So...post your most powerful weapon combo. Describe the items/upgrades/feats/bonuses/abilities you have that make it so powerful. Basically, give enough information to us so that another person can replicate your combo (so we know no one is bragging around and telling a tale ;) ).

Break the information you present down so that we can see how each component adds up to the final damage done.

The only assumption we're making here is that your level is high enough for all your attacks to hit. Otherwise going through the probabilities will not be trivial...

Oh, and no items obtained through cheats/exploits (so no two yourname crystals).

I prefer two sabers with a short saber in the off hand.

Why do you not use your name crystal? its the most powerful one.
And NO sprinkles,
for every sprinkle I find I shall kill you!

your name crystal is only powerful if you get LOTS of upgrades to it.

Just playing around with the workbench andjust discovered that if you put a qixoni ceystal on the same saber as a solari crystal, the dark side only and the light side only limittations cancel each other out. Now I've only been able to test this on my assassin character but I imagine it would work for LS players as well as middle men.

If you think about it, this is a pretty nasty combo because not only do you get DAM +8, ATK +3, and FGEN 1, but since you fight sith a lot - i hope this doesn't count as a spoiler ;) - you get the +1-8 vs. DS. Throw in a couple butt kicker upgrades like a diatium cell for DAM+5, a deflection emmiter for BBD+4 DEF+1, and a pontite lens and you got a main hand saber that has....

DAM +17-47
DAM +1-8 vs. DS
ATK +4
BBD +4
DEF +1

Then for some kicker, my short saber had my character's chrystal and a stygium crystal for stealth & dex, but really it's cause i didn't have a kaiburr crystal. Throw a couple upgrades (Super Discharge cell, Ex Deflector, Ossus Lens) and boom. Marauders die in two flurry swings from an assassin with 14 strength.

Then just because I had more force points than I could spend, I made a switch set of sabers with 10 and 15 BBD. Just to run around and collect baddies on my tail and literally have huge piles of bodies. It's funny. You just let visas and mandalore faint on the ravager and run around to try to get as many sith as you can into one room... then force storm!!!

It's almost as bad as planting mines in stealth mode.

um... yeah... and all over the damn ship too. you just take a break every once in a while to let them catch up to you.

*spoiler*
I found this out on Nar Shadda. I was kicking refugee as but still wanted the squid's blood. Turns out that if you get one gamorrean attacking you the rest would follow... as long as they see you being chased. IE I stole something from one of the storage bins and low and behold i had a gamorrean on my tail. Next one I saw was completely clueless untill the first one caught up, his label was still blue and it suddenly turned red. I got them to chase me until I was where the squid was. Unfortunately, he didn't attack :( .

I filled his room with smelly corpses at least :)
