hey everyone,
after a long time of play with no problems I need your help once again. i was wondering if anyone of you had the same problem?
I am on a Mac, OS X - but i am not sure if this is relevant for the problem - have played BG2 for quite a while now and it's all good. Now I got ToB and started a new game of SoA to be continued in ToB with an evil party. i finally wanted to get a romance going (the Jaheira bugs just drove me nuts) so who else to choose than our lovely Vic since I am evil anyway.
Since I have played SoA a few times i decided to skip the areas that i don't really need to get to ToB faster so i never went to Umar Hills. But I am about to do the Bodhi finale and I read that she spirits away your lover (which indeed she did) and that i need to go to the temple ruins to get her back.
BUT whenever I try to get to Umar Hills (first step to get to the temple ruins) I get the message "wrong CD, insert CD 3". i do that even though with the ToB expansion i should not have to - but of course nothing happens, it just keeps asking for CD 3 and even if I insert CD 3 it spits it out and keeps asking.
I had this problem in the very beginning of SoA and tech support told me the problem is that I did not do the full install. Well since then I always did the full install so that should not be the problem.
So I reinstalled the game (first SoA then all the bug fixes, then ToB and then the updated bug fixes) three times but it keeps asking for CD 3 whenever I click on Umar Hills on the map. so I finally decided to start another game, maybe a new game with my newly installed game software would help.
New party, good one this time, one more try on Jaheria since I downloaded the bug fixes, on my way to Umar Hills...."wrong CD, insert CD 3". Darn it!!!!! I will never be able to finish any one of those romances if i can't get my lover back from Bodhi!!!!!!
any ideas anyone?
I'll call tech support on monday but if someone knows what to do now - even better ;-).
