I'm playing V:TM-R for about eight time now and I just thought about posting some of my foundings in case they aren't publicly known.
Did you know, that after your reawakening in the Society of Leopold, in the very room you see the beginning animation, you can find any enchanted items - armor, weapons, even rings, bracelets and amulets - you had equiped when you entered torpor under the Vysehrad Castle, when the roof caved in.
That's quite handy, for I never was very friendly with ranged weapons and the only melee weapons you can find in SoL is baseball bat, tazer and some other trash - not speaking about armor which is none.
But if you keep some of the enchented items - I prefered Ainkurn Sword, Discipline Amulet (discipline cost of 60%), some Insulated armor pieces and rings of choice. And bonus for maniacs - consider what would do the Unholy Platemail with those awfull faith spells. And those SoL gunmen are a laughing stuff as you can use Celerity and hack and slash through their ranks quite easilyeven with the two-handed blade. With no need of sucking blood because of the Ainkurn Sword, there is nothing stopping your progress. I personally used it since I found it in Teutonic base till the end of game. With some decent amount of Dextrity and Celerity on fifth level its absolutly dominating(I maxed my celerity at the end of Prague quests and in the middle of London had Dextrity of 90 ).
But if you still consider it slow and ineffective, you can still buy some Dread Broadsword and Insulated Great Shild. Money is not your problem after finishing Das Haus de Hexe and in Prag you can make no use of it, so my advice would be to by it just before leaving Vienna.
Hope it was helpful to some of you.
Gifts after awakening
Yeah, first time I played a bunch of useless magical junk from my vault came through. Statuettes, crosses of david, and the like. Why couldn't it have been the expensive platemail and all the other topnotch armor I was wearing?? Or at least some of the blood vials? The elder vitae would have been nice. I finally figured out it lets you take 13 items with you. I usually take the expensive amulets, bracelets, and rings so I can outfit myself right off, and Pink and Lily later. And taking a Heart Shield is nice since getting staked when you're alone can be deadly. Also an exquisite axe will go through. I take one or four since I've never been able to find them in the modern shops. You can strip your coterie right after you kill the Vozhd.

Simply give any of those items to Christoph before you approach anezka, and everything can be found in the first two rooms of the Society of Leopold.[/QUOTE]
Last time I played, I got so much stuff that I even found'em in THREE rooms

ROMERO: If you should see any zombies in that time, you need to put them down. Just don't let them bite you.
PC: Why? Do you turn into a zombie if they bite you?
ROMERO: Naw, it just hurts like a bitch.

It is true, but items Christof has in his vault also come through. That way I had to leave some stuff behind in the Society, and come back with more companions to pick all that up.
