At a guess, I'd say it would be Ming Zhao, the head of the Kuei-Jin. You get a chance to kill her in some of the end-games.

I had never noticed that Venus called herself the priestess. So I started with another character to see her speech.
She says she's a beat priestess, which I guess she is referring to being a beatnick , around from the 70's era.
Well she does look around 40, and her hair, make up and speech patterns (venus was her name...) all refer to those days, so I guess we can say she's a beatnick.
Although the Kue-Jin you kill looks like an Elivis impersonater, I don't think he is referring to her...
As the plot thickens the priestess turns out to be Ming

I'm your Venus...
beatniks were the hippies of the 1950s - as Venus is not Kindred, she cannot be old enough. in the game - the rude response to her is that she "looks like a groupie for the Cure" - a 1980s band (I've seen them FWIW).
beatniks liked skiffle and be-bop jazz - the books of Jack Kerouac and french/italian b&w films. Venus reminds me of a girl I knew at college (and has the cleavage to match) - we met up at a Michael Schenker Band (ex-UFO) gig. I think a Scandinavian HM band were the support. Venus is definitely a rock-chick.
"Venus" was a hit for Shocking Blue and covered in the 1980s by Bananarama.
[The sister of a friend was convinced it was obscene - she thought it was a word ending with "enis". Mind you, she was also conned into asking for a Michael Hunt over the PA in the supermarket where she worked - nice woman, but a bit dim.]
Anyhow, Venus is her name, I must confess.

"All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players"
One of those charatcers

Jiggle jiggle.
entirely distracting and far worse than Lara Croft ever was.
Notice that we have to go off and bash Vick after meeting Venus. Cause and effect.

Hehe well there is a new Lara Croft game designed by the good folks who made Legacy Of Kain series. I'm looking forward to it.
But yeah the "priestess is Ming from the beginning.
And all the girls you come in contact with are really nice eye candy. I just wish you had a choice or options when it came to ghouls. Cause other then the clans beinging their own worth as far as replay value, your still just doing the same things over again heh.
