How to get out of the sewerage.

Hi,
is there someone, who can help me coming out ;o) of the sewerage???
I am in mission no 2 (hahaha) and trying since 2 weeks to reach the blue ocean hotel...or just to come out of the sewerage....

When you find a sewer entrance, enter it as you enter a door ( press e )
Use crouch to walk through the narrow pipes ( press ctrl ) At some walls you will find maps, use them and figure out where you are.
The Ocean hotel , I think is at Entrance A, locked behind a iron gate. To go there you must speak with Therese and she will give you the key to unlock the door.
The sewer pipes have entrance numbers and names near them, use them ( and the corresponding maps ) to find your way.
It really isn't so hard, you will get a hang of it in time.

but the problem is not to find a way out of the sewerage (I know, that there are a few gates a, b, c, d, etc...)....the problem is, that I can't get out on any way of the sewerage....
if I am on the ladder or in front of the ladder, there is no symbol or something (like if you are standing in front of a door or in front of the sewer entrance - it starts to lightning)
If I try to press "e" nothing happens.
So the problem is to get out of the sewerage.....

Well sometimes if your to close to the door/sewer lid you won't see the icon and pressing "E" won't open it. Back down the ladder a little bit and try it then. BTW what clan are you?

When I've been playing the game a bit too long, it sometimes starts acting that way. I'll climb to the top of a ladder, get the sewer lid glowing, press E, but it won't open. It just makes a kind of sick metal sound. I have to save the game, shut it down entirely, restart, reload, and then it works fine. Maybe that's it?

Ok what your experiencing is what happens when your standing before a door and trying to open it but it opens towards you and your in the way so it just clicks.

I suggest not being so close to the doors and sewer covers when trying to open them.

Actually I also have a similair weird problem. I can't see the maps in the sewer. When I press E the map I see is like a paper with lots of patches on it
What you learn in this game , is to improvise.
If you havent found the Ocean hotel, you still must be at the beginning. The best way could be start from the beginning. Or use the console "noclip" cheat to float upstairs.

Speaking of "noclip" has anyone used that to float around *SPOILER*the hallowbrook hotel area where Heather gets killed by the Sabbat to appear in the last room? That way if you do not see the triggered killing scene, wonder if she would still be alive afterwards?

So yeah anyway the above text was black to blend in.

Anyway either start over or get the key from Theresa and then noclip float up the stairs out of the lid? Curious though can you see door icons into building or is it just doors that open into other rooms that don't require loading that won't open?

hm....ok...at first, I am a malkavian...(in the game...*g*)

I already tried to use the console (the noclip). But if I am standing on the ladder and using "noclip" , nothing happens except moving around in the sewerage (like a bird)....
But the "noclip" doesn't help me to come out of this really - after 2 weeks -very, very interesting area... ;o)

Hm, (darkstone) I really often tried to go out of the game, and come back again....nothing happens.....allways the same problem.

And (ventruesnob), it ist the third time, I restartet the game at the beginning...

ok, know I have to try another hour, to come out of the lovely sewerage....I'll come back....

Thanks for helping.....If I ever come out of the serwerage, I spend a virtual grilled chicken.
