Drizzt being incredibly annoying *Spoilers*

Post by Melondar »

At the beginning of chapter 6, I *stupidly* asked Drizzt for help in invading Bodhi's lair. Turns out that was a bad idea. He keeps stealing all of my kills, and worse, he attacks and kills any of my characters who become charmed. The first time I tried going through, he single-handedly killed Bodhi, preventing the quest from progressing. The only way I've been able to figure out to keep him from doing this is attacking him - when you do that, he'll leave. I was just wondering if that had any negative implications for the rest of the game.

Nothing very noticable anyway. I've attacked him several times and have him leave (pretty much from the same reasons as you) and I've never noticed anything negative with it. He doesn't really seem angry, just a little bit annoyed if I remember correctly.

It's not like he'll gather a big troop and come after you... ^^

spoiler: If he (and his troupe) get killed by the vampire, someone will come round and just go "*sigh* looks like I have to raise them again", so if he's dead or gone has no impact on the rest of the game.

Wel, allies have their advantage ... IIRC I looted their equipment and sold it.

Besides that, try improved Bodhi and rest asured no kill will be stolen.

Even if Drizzt kills Bodhi and steals that experience you carry on until you get to Bodhi's grave and stake it. This should get Imoen back her soul and you the Rhynn Lantorn thus advancing the quest.

I usually open the door to Bodhi's lair, let him see the bait and stride confidently in.
Then I close the door and giggle to the sounds of his bowels being shredded. :P
A few minutes later I walk in, kill the remaining enemies and loot his equiptment.

Works like a charm. :)

All of Drizzt's best gear is taken by awizard after killing Bodhi. If you want his equipment the best time to get it is when you first meet him at the beginning of Chapter 6.

If you have the Ease-of-use mod you can chose to keep his items and skip over that bothersome Harpell. It also fixes various other oddities and annoyances.
