Tree Totem

Post by Zed Zorander »

I went south in the Forbidden Lands to where the Goblin Shaman Worglaw is located. Since I don't have 10.000 Gold I decided to kill him instead. Now I cannot get the Tree Totem even when standing right on top of it and pressing <Shift>.

Does anyone have a solution? Is this a game bug?

btw I have restored a previously saved game but, the result is always the same.

I suggest u reload a game and find the money 2 by it. I had enough money after i finished the Naga Temple and got the regen. robe. Also most monsters dont drop gold but in the naga temple the nagas always drop 50+ gold just keep killing stuff and opening lvl 7 tresure chests as u can get up to 600 gold in those. As to killing him, I don't think the game developers realize that we can kill him. Which means this is probally a glitch and should be fixed in an upcoming update. Hope that helped.

I just read toddhd's post and checked the progress on the update. The junk section of your inventory will be open so i think you will be able to sell duplicate items for money. That's if u want to wait for the update

Thanks Axis, I'll take up your advice and will do the Naga Temple first. No point in waiting months for the Update to finally arrive.

I still believe that if the Game allows you the alternative of killing a NPC you should be able to get the Stuff you need (That's for the record ;) )

Talking to a friend, it appears that there is a different (and much harder) solution:
If you kill Worglaw and return to the Tree Guardians, they will attack you for killing him! You then have the chance (?!) to kill them in order to pass through the passage. Apparently each Tree Guardian is worth around 100.000 XP.

that doesn't sound like a bad deal, assuming that they're not that difficult to kill.

It's True

OK, I finally got to the Tree Guardians and fought/killed them all. The experience is awesome. Each Tree Guardian gives 149.632 XP and their Leader Wuldenfyr gives you 261.632 XP (on a monster difficulty of hard).

But, they are tough and, it is probably easier (and definately faster) to pay the 10.000 Gold.

Still, having just hit Level 12 before the Tree Guardians, I was Level 13 and a bit more after finishing them off.

btw I just remembered: they immeadiately attack you on sight !!!
