Mordenkainen's Sword Bug?

While fighting the demi-lich (you know who I mean) I used Mordenkainen's Sword multiple times. After I defeated him I found that wherever the sword was destroyed, there was a greenstone amulet. Is this a bug or what?

I found like 2-3 Greenstone Amulets. Thats not normal.
