A couple of questions

Post by aceofa »

1) The different arrows in the game: silver, glass, iron, chittin, etc... Is there any diffrence in the damage they deal? Also, what kind of arrows damage ghosts (other than silver)?

2) There are a ton of trainers everywhere, how much money should I typically spend on them?

Thanks in advance,
aceofa :)

Umm...I will assume different arrows do different amounts of damage, and I'm guessing enchanted arrows damage ghosts.

So, I think how much money you spend on trainers depends on how much money you have easy access to, or how far you are in the game, also if you want to level up quickly, spend a lot of money on all different specializations and you should go fast. But remember to rest as soon as you can after you level to allow for bonuses to stats.

The differend arrows, as well as having different damage models, I believe also have different flight patterns. Corkbulb arrows are the lightest, and fly furthest, and straightest, but do least damage, daedric arrows fall quicker, but are heavier and thus do more damage.

Trainer costs are calculated by your current skill in whatever they are training, and whether it is a major skill. i.e a Minor skll at skill level 20 would cost more than a Minor skill at level 10, but less than a Major Skill at level 20
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No :D
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

I like stockpiling nice stuff and going back to stare at it later, selling some duplicates, and keeping others for collections. :D

If you like to know how much damage those arrows do go to http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/modcontrols/mods.asp
and search for the titel "Lurlock's arrow damage Display" by Lurlock.
Also, if you want to spent less on trainers make sure they like you, or, read books that add skills instead ;)
Finally, some skills can be quickly raised:
1-acrobatics, by jumping up and down on the steep stairs in the Vivec cantons.
2-athletics, by swimming untill your really drained of fatigue then use a spell/potion/item to restore fatigue and repeat this until satisfied.
3-armorskills (especially unarmored, because even in full gear you'll still get hit on unprotected parts), by going to an eggmine, walk past a bunch of scouts (or hit a few workers) then let yourself get pounded, remember to watch your hp and armor-durability.
4-spells, by making a spell for one second and constantly casting.
5-sneak, by swimming near a hostile watercreature, go to the coastline and hold sneak while the creature is still trying to get to you. ;)
Do you need a silencer if you're gonna shoot a mime?
