Shadow Ruins = Game Ender

I am an old guy. I love Vidio games. This game is a game ender for me because I can't get past the stupid poison jump ramps. This game is toast for me. I guess they figure that you have to be under 30 to play this game. Unfortunate because it is the over 50 crowd who has all the money to buy video games. Go Figure.

I hear you. I'm in the over 30 camp. And yes this challenges you if you have little first person shooter (FPS) experience. I played a lot of FPS games though and was able to do this with not too much trouble.

How I did it:

Save at the portal just before you enter this room.
Stand on the pressure plate to activate the far portal as soon as you get into this room.
As the first platform is about to rise jump on it.
The earlier you do this sucessfully the more time you have to make the next jump.

As this requires you to turn, walk right to the edge of each platform and jump with the right timing it takes practise.

If you got this far you must have some decent skills at this.

I also am over 50 (over 60 actually!) and love this game. It can be hard at times, but keep at it - you can do it! Try slowing time. That's what I did and it helped a lot. I also use slowing time when opening difficult chests. Sure helps.

use Slow Time magic, it worked for me (the only possible problem is timing - it is not immediate). Good luck!

I finally made it. Finally a use for the Time crystal. I went into the Shadow Ruins at level 18 and am now level 22. Killing the all the Athena Gaurds with a throwing knife nets almost 8 million points. Almost done I just need to get past some more plateforms to get the relic.
