I'm in the Naga Temple and it seems to me that all ways have been closed. I'm just past the part where you kill the serpent boss(not the queen), then you free the guards, i have the Eye of the Sigil, but I'm stuck. I arrived at the room with the swinging axes and no matter how I manage the switches in the room it doesn't open the door, and I don't see it open any other doors. Also on the way to the room with the axe, before you get there, there is another hallway blocked off by a gate, which I have no clue how to open. If anyone understands what I'm sayingm a bit of help would be nice.
It seemed I was just retarded and not hitting switches in the proper order.

are you referring to the square room with axes and two switches? you have to hit both switches (in no particular order) in order to open the second door.
the doorway that you can't open, is that the one in the hallway that has the small basin of water? if that is the one than don't worry about it right now, but once you free valdane come back to it.
