Help:TOB: B-Ion Stone Bug

Hi. I have *restarted* TOB, and have acquired the Bronze IonStone again. The first time I played and got it, it allowed my char. to use it. My character is a thief mage. This time around it is not allowing me to use it, with the same char. Imoen, and Jan can use it but not I. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
