Starting out in ToB -- character help

Post by leeman_s »

I just bought ToB. We have a couple of different hard drives, and my little bro had my dad switch to a different one (without my saved game in hell at the end of SoA. I'm gonna play ToB starting a new game until i can go to my saved game when my dad is home. What is a cool character that would be new? I am a mage right now, so something else.

L - this is the exact kind of question that only you can anwser. we the readers have nowhere near enough info to anwser, since we don't know what is fun for you to play. there is no law against starting over if you think a class is boring, try a paladin think it's no good and change so what?

Hee! I have a gnome paladin!
All that can go wrong, will, unless it doesn't, but then, it might anyway.

WEll, I am currently reading an RA Salvatore series, the Clerics Quintet, and in it there is a Dwarf that wants to become a Druid! How silly that is, right? But that will be my next character I think. A dwarven druid. HA!
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

However, L, if you were to rephrase your questions and ask what the strongest classes to play in ToB were, you may get some answers.

If you've already tried a mage, how about a fighter/druid or a cleric/ranger?

For a bit of a challenge, try a wizard slayer, or if you still want to play a mage. Try out the new Wild Mage kit.
