Trouble in the Warrens (Level 2)***SPOILERS****
Am at the point of swimming thru tunnel to Reservoir 2 but cant seem to get there while it is still flooded. How long do you have from switching the pump to jumping in the water and swimming down the tunnel? Any ideas on best way to achieve this - would be grateful?

That task is very time-critical. You don't have any time. I use the manual controls instead of the computer controls because they're faster. Flush the reservoirs, and when you get the 'safe' indicator, strip down to street clothes (to lose any dexterity penalties you may be carrying), equip 'blood buff' as your discipline, and do the following, all as fast as you are able:
1) Throw the switch
2) Jump the railing and charge the tunnel
3) Swim for the fan, and hit blood buff about half-way down the tunnel
4) Turn the corner to the right, and you're home free

Another thing you can do is, if you have this discipline, Celerity.

First, going through the older posts, I'm not sure that dexterity penalties have an effect, but it certainly can't hurt to get rid of them. Putting Blood Buff on standby isn't a bad idea, either, though I don't need it. It is very time-critical, though. If you give yourself half a second to think about something once you've started the run, forget it - go back and and start again.
If you get close to the corner and you think you're not going to make it, Blood Buff might give you enough to make the turn, but it's kind of like jumping over the electrical water. You go one step past where your gut is screaming "JUMP NOW!". It's that little extra bit of iron will that gets you through - just don't freak out. A common mistake would likely be buffing too soon. You only get it for a moment, so save it until the very last possible second when it will do you the most good.
Using the manual flush controls are good, if for no other reason than they give you a good place (strategically speaking) to start from.
So, if you're having trouble, this is a good way to go. First, stand as far away from the buttons as you can and still get the option to activate them when you turn that way. That will give you a better angle. You can actually back off quite a bit. Make sure you have everything prepared before you start, because after you've started, it's too late to horse around.
One little stunt I've used is to position myself so that I'm standing facing the rail just on the near side of the last pillar before the wall in the direction you'll have to run (not head-on - at an angle - you'll still be standing by the manual controls). That's the mouse-normal position. Then I twist my hand to the right with the mouse as far as needed to be able to activate the button. That way, when you've pressed the button to refill the system, you just allow your wrist to snap back to normal and you're facing the right direction already. It saves you about 1/3rd of a second, and that's enough to make the difference.
So, purge the system (so you have the 'safe' lights). Your sequence of actions is going to be this. Push the button, snap back to the right direction, run, jump the rail, keep running, but turn a little to the right so you miss the grate over the tunnel and hit the open part. When you hit the tunnel, turn left and start swimming immediately. There are 'swimming' key controls. Don't bother. Just use the ADSW constrols and the mouse. Use the mouse to angle down when needed, and as you approach the propeller (you're going to turn right), move gradually toward that side of the tunnel. You should be able to just hook yourself around the corner with very little time to spare. Once you've cleared the corner, you have some leeway. Then swim to the end of the tunnel, up through the chamber and out the hole in the top, and then down the tunnel away from the grate. If you get turned around here, don't panic. You're past the propeller, so you're not going to go back, and you're dead, so you're not going to drown. Vampires would make terrific pearl divers.
Once you go down the tunnel, it will warp you into a cut-scene, and you're through. During the cut-scene, get yourself ready for a fight. You'll be in one almost immediately.
