Dungeon Siege VS. Dungeon Lord
How do you compare these two game? I am curious.
Dungeon Siege is more of a party based game, I understand multiplayer is fun (I'm a single player person myself). I got very bored very quickly as the game feels like it plays itself and you are just along for the ride.
I find the immersion very different in single player vs. party games - that is why I really prefer games like NWN or Gothic ... or even DL to an extent. But when there is a tremendous story, like BG2, I'm right there ...

Apples and oranges, IMO. DS is a Diablo-esque game in many respects that allows to customize party member combat tactics. It's extremely linear, has few quests, no real NPC personality, and very boring. It's also sports third person visuals (which I happen to like). DL features first person visuals, one party member, a largely "open" environment that lets you wander at will, and multiple quests. Unfortunately, it's buggy and very unfinished. From my perspective, Morrowind on the PC is far better than DL, since you can add on a ton of great mods that really expand the game. But I guess my favorite RPGs would be Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate II, Ultima VII and King of Dragon Pass.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Heya, think of Dundeon Siege as a combination between diablo 2 and neverwinter nights/balders gate. Personally I thought the DS multiplayer was pretty good until people started hacking and modding. Got boring real fast just like diablo 2 did. I got the expansion Legends of Arrana and thought it was pretty good. They still need better armor in my opinion anyways Dungeon Lords is nothing like DS and I wouldn't even remotley compare the two. DS2 is supposed to come out soon and I've read some interesting facts about it such as {ALOT MORE QUESTS}! DS2 and Tes4 Oblivion is gonna rock! Lol Im gonna have to upgrade my computer just to play it....
