I've got an evil party that I've taken through Shadows of Amn that consists of:
PC - A LE half-elf Priest of Talos
Korgan
Viconia
Jaheira
Imoen
Edwin
I think I'm just about ready to put that game on over into ToB. The thing is, I'm debating redoing the whole party when I do so. I've already decided to boot Jaheira in favor of Sarevok (since I've already got two decent priests in the party, multiclass = eck, and Jaheira just doesn't fit). However, I've also toyed with the idea of kicking Imoen out, in which case I'd stick in Jan instead. After all, I totally miss Jan's random outbursts. They entertained me so!
Basically, I just want some input on the Imoen/Jan situation. I mean, Imoen's alignment sticks out horribly ... but I just can't ever bear to see her go! Is there any real reason why I should keep her?
Evil party and Imoen ...
SHES YOUR SISTER!!
She is a usfull mage, and with some items a good thief aswell... and shes not multiclass like jan... you said so yourself:
multiclass = eck

In a good party, I keep Imoen. In an evil party, I don't. Personally, Jan has it all over her as far as thieving is concerned, but Imoen is the superior mage. The game is perfectly playable and fun either way--a point which seems to have escaped some posters that argue about "the best party."
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
